Clarification and examples needed

This discussion is so generic and vague as to be useless to anyone who really needs to ask this question. I suggest either adding some specific details to each section, ideally illustrating with some concrete examples of the use of text, RDBMS, and both, in classical text publication. If this is not thought to be useful or worthwhile, I suggest deleting this page, which promises to ask a question which it really doesn't. GabrielBodard (talk) 14:03, 14 October 2016 (BST)
