Géza Alföldy (1935-2011) was a ancient historian and an epigraphist. He studied in Hungary, where he started his academic career. In 1965, he moved to Germany and continued his research and teaching activity there.

A Facebook page dedicated to Prof. Alföldy is mantained by Csaba Szabó with the goal of spreading the knowledge of his work and heritage.
