A WordPress blog containing collections of links to 'Archaeological news of the week' usually from non-specialist sources.  Although Explorator covers archaeology (and history more generally) worldwide and across all time periods, there is an emphasis on the archaeology of and reception of the ancient Greek and Roman worlds, and on Egypt and the ancient Near East.  The content also includes sections on obituaries of Classicists and archaeologists, numismatism, news of the theft or recovery of historic items, articles relating to historic DNA, coverage of relevant exhibitions, and links to blogs and podcasts.
