Description
From the project website (accessed 2020-07-28)
From 2007-2012 the Virtual World Heritage Laboratory created the Digital Hadrian's Villa Project: a 3D digital model of Hadrian's Villa, a World Heritage site located in Tivoli (Italy), as it appeared towards the end of the lifetime of Hadrian (AD 76-138). The purposes of this site are to use the internet to permit free access to the digital model by people all over the world; to provide documentation for the archaeological evidence and theories utilized to create the 3D restoration model; and to offer basic information about the individual features comprising the digital model so that their history and cultural context can be readily understood.
The Digital Hadrian's Villa model falls under the category of Rome Reborn projects.
