Description
From the Lincei website (accessed 2018-07-27, last updated 2016-10-27):
Established in 1985 and published by the Institute of Archaeology, Oxford University. From 2004, given its success in its first twenty years of life as a valuable reference source, the Newsletter resumed regular publication as a six-monthly Supplement to the journal «Archeologia e Calcolatori». With the creation of a new series of Supplements, the publication of Archaeological Computing Newsletter was interrupted in 2007.
The Newsletter contains short articles and reviews of conferences, books, hardware and software, notices of forthcoming events, in fact anything of interest to computer-using archaeologists. Printed in a user-friendly paper format, the Newsletter is complemented with a dedicated website where the tables of content of the most recent issues can be found (44-62). The latest issues can be downloaded online (61-69).
From the Archeologia e Calcolatori website (accessed 2018-07-27):
Starting with issue 61, and until issue 69, the Archaeological Computing Newsletter was published on a bi-annual basis as a supplement to the international journal Archeologia e Calcolatori. Given the success enjoyed by the newsletter in the twenty years since publication began, the editorial format was left unchanged, although the collection and editing of articles was organised by the Italian staff.
