Description

This project focuses on the use of Wikidata in the field of digital epigraphy. It aims at transferring epigraphic data related to the ancient Roman municipium of Altinum from EDR and other databases and corpora to Wikidata via transcodification. Wikidata, part of the Wikimedia projects, is a free and multilingual collaborative database that provides structured data, allowing wide-ranging investigations, mapping, statistical analyses, genealogical trees, onomastic research, textual and chronological comparisons, relational networks among gentes or individuals, and the creation of multiple types of graphs.
