Maxime Guénette completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in history at Université de Montréal. He also completed a certificate in digital publishing at ''Université de Montréal'' in 2023, where he was particularly interested in digital publication of ancient texts, collaborative publishing and digital humanities in general.
As a doctoral student in history at the Université de Montréal, I'm mainly interested in the religions of the Roman Empire and sacred places in Antiquity. My doctoral thesis focuses on the creation of a digital catalogue of sacred spaces in the province of Britannia in the Roman Empire, using Wikidata.


In September 2023, he will begin his Ph. D. with focuses on the effects of ancient globalisation through religious networks that spread throughout the Roman Empire.
