Description
Taken from the project website (Accessed 2025-03-27):
MIB has been set up as a knowledge base for the documentation, archiving, study, cataloguing and dissemination of the ancient numismatic heritage of the Iberian Peninsula and southern Gaul. It includes coins minted between the 6th and 1st centuries BC by Greek, Punic, Iberian, Iberian, Celtiberian, Basque, Lusitanian and Latin cities. The MIB project is above all a collaborative initiative developed by a large team of people with very different degrees of involvement. It is a catalogue that has been developed over decades but whose launch has been made possible in the context of the international ARCH project, under the direction of the Department of Prehistory, Archaeology and Ancient History (University of Valencia) and the Museum of Prehistory of Valencia (Provincial Council of Valencia) as an associate member, guided by the technological guidelines established by the company Render SL.
