	My research interests focus on the administrative and political history of the late Roman Republic and the early Empire, on Latin inscriptions and early Christianity in the Venice region, and on the reception of classical antiquity. In 2009, I published my book «Cipro e la memoria dell'antico fra Medioevo e Rinascimento. La percezione del passato romano dell'isola del mondo occidentale», which was awarded the Honor Prize "Caterina De Cia Bellati Canal" in 2012. I am the author of over 40 contributions published as book chapters or articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as in conference proceedings. I have been an invited lecturer in several European academic institutions and have spoken at numerous international conferences, both in Italy and abroad. I have regularly served as a blind reviewer for programmes sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Education and by the European Union, as well as for manuscripts submitted to scientific journals. Since 2015 I teach for the Ca' Foscari - Harvard Summer School. I am a tenured Lecturer in Ancient History at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. In 2005, I earned a European Doctorate degree in «History and Archaeology of the Mediterranean countries» thanks to a cotutelle agreement between Ca' Foscari and the Université Paris X Nanterre. Before getting a permanent position at Ca' Foscari in 2011, I was a graduate or postgraduate research fellow at the following institutions: University of Cyprus (1999), Svenska Institutet i Rom (2000-2001), University College London (2002), Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes - Paris (2004), Institute of Classical Studies - London (2004), American Academy in Rome (2005), Warburg Institute - London (2007-2008), Villa I Tatti - Harvard (2009-2010), CEDANT - Pavia (2010). In 2015 I was a visiting fellow at the Seeger Center for Hellenic Studies (Princeton University).
