Project Summary

The "Papyrus-Projekt Halle-Jena-Leipzig" is a joint project of the papyrus collections in Halle, Jena and Leipzig, that has the aim to preserve, catalogue and digitize all objects of these papyrus collections according to jointly developed criteria. The result is then presented online to specialists and a broader community together with a description and image. The implementation is based on the Open Source Project MyCoRe, which has been developed by several German universities. The project is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. The database will grow permanently.
