ETYGRAM Association (Ancient & Medieval Greek Etymologies Association) is an international Association formed in December 2016.
The online dictionary is intended to collect all the ancient Greek etymologies proposed by the texts (from the 9th century BC to the 15th century AD), mainly in Greek literature, but also in Latin literature. It does not select, among the "indigenous" Greek etymologies, the etymologies confirmed by modern linguistics and is particularly concerned with so called folk-etymologies. It brings a perspective different from that of modern etymological dictionaries that seek to identify h
