Description

Unicode is the de facto standard for the world's written languages, both living and dead. As of June 2016, Unicode version 9.0 supports more than 128,000 characters in dozens of scripts. The standard is maintained by the Unicode Consortium on its website.

The pages in this category describe for the most part tools, and in some cases theory or guidelines, for working with Unicode specifically with ancient languages (Greek characters, symbols, epigraphic and metrical sigla, etc.). It also includes links to converters, which convert non-Unicode data and encodings to Unicode.
